Tonya Burton
(LNHA, Administrator)

Tonya Burton brings 28 years of experience in long-term care, having worked in a variety of roles within skilled nursing facilities. While serving as an Admissions Director, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science in 2017, demonstrating her commitment to both professional growth and compassionate care. In 2021, she advanced her career further by becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA). Outside of work, Tonya enjoys spending time outdoors and cherishes moments with her three children, family, and friends.

Belinda Foy
(Director of Nursing)

Belinda Foy was born and raised in Seaford, Delaware. She received her associate’s degree from Delaware Tech and bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University.  Belinda has been a nurse for 17 years and has three daughters. Her mission in life is to instill her values into what she does every day and hopefully make a difference in someone’s life. Belinda’s purpose is to ensure her patients receive the upmost quality of care and she is committed to bettering the welfare and wellbeing of others. She will graduate in May 2026 from Wilmington University with an MSN degree.

Makailaa Morris, ADN-RN
(Assistant Director of Nursing)

Makailaa Morris was born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland. She brings almost a decade of healthcare experience to our team. She began her journey at 18 years old as a CNA/GNA while attending the nursing program at Wor-Wic Community College, where she was able to obtain her associate’s degree. After graduation, she began her career in geriatrics/LTC. She takes great joy in spending time with her son and loved ones.

Robyn Handy
(Admissions Director)

Robyn Handy has been with Delmar for over 20 years.  Passionate about the geriatric population, she is a results-focused leader, who delivers talent acquisition, and motivation solutions.  With this expertise, she has helped Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation Center harness the full power of one of their most valuable assets – their people.

Robyn is dedicated to creating robust cultures, which promote continuous business growth.  She does this by empowering and motivating employees to realize their full potential and bringing their best to the job.

In her personal time, Robyn loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Joe Quinn
(COTA/DOR)

Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Joe has lived in Delaware for the past five years working as a DOR in Wilmington, Delaware. Joe arrived as the DOR at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation in January 2025. He received his Occupational Therapist Assistant degree in 1993 from the Academy of Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas, care of the United States Army. Joe served six years active duty in the Army with four years at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He has been a DOR in various skilled nursing facilities in Pennsylvania and Delaware for the past 15 years. Joe enjoys making a positive impact on residents, staff and patients every day.

Meg Havens
(Director of Social Work)

Meg Havens has been a Sussex County native since the age of four. She graduated from Wilmington University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. In 2022, she earned her Social Worker license. Meg has a long career working with the geriatric population. She has been the director of two local senior centers and has also been a case manager for those suffering from mental illness. She has 11 years’ experience in long-term care. Meg has always felt a connection with seniors and has made it her passion to advocate for their wishes and well-being. She resides in Sussex County with her four children. Meg enjoys spending time outdoors whether she is hiking, running, sunbathing or sightseeing. Most of all, she enjoys spending time and making memories with her family and friends.

Danielle Stevens
(Activities Director)

Danielle was born and raised in Laurel De and has been working as a CNA since 1998. She has four children and has been married for two years. Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Lisa Watson
(MDS Coordinator)

Lisa Watson was born and raised in Maryland. She has been a nurse for about 30 years, with most of her experience in long term care. When not at work she enjoys her daughter and three grandsons. Lisa loves spending her free time with her family and she enjoys reading.

J.P. Merritt
(Unit Manager)

Joseph Merritt is known as JP by everyone.  He is a local man being born and raised on the Eastern shore. After a 6 year stint in the U.S Navy, he decided to pursue a career in nursing and attended Wor Wic community college. He has been in long term care nursing for over 20 years with the last 9 years here at Delmar Nursing and rehab center. JP is married with 3 adult children and three grandchildren.

Sadé Bacon
(Human Resources/Business Office Manager)

Sadé is an Eastern Shore native with over 10 years of business office management experience in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, along with 6 years of Human Resource Management experience. A self-proclaimed numbers enthusiast, she discovered her passion for working with the geriatric population in high school , earning her certified nursing assistant credential through vocational technical training before graduation. Influenced by summers spent with her grandfather visiting family and friends, she developed a deep appreciation for serving older adults. She feels fortunate to have found the best of both worlds – serving older adults while working with numbers.

Outside of work Sadé has a love for aesthetics – something she enjoys sharing with her daughter – while also embracing her slightly tomboyish side, shaped by raising three sons. She enjoys spending time outdoors and values her personal time to recharge and reset.
